"Just a quick note of thanks for a terrific athletics camp. Aoife feels back 'on track' and Tara the girl who 'doesn’t do sport' is already talking about next year so we are thrilled."

"I just wanted to thank you and your team of coaches and staff for giving my two boys a fantastic week of athletics last week. They had a great time, especially my 8 year old who is very shy and lacks self esteem, but tried things he wouldn't normally do. My 12 year old also asked even before the end of the week if he could go again next year. The enthusiasm of yourself and your coaches came over so strong that I really felt my boys had some great role models. Thank you very much." Anita – Parent
"A thank you from me too. Ellie had such a fantastic day... "just the best ever"! "

" Tomorrow is the last day of the coaching ! Been a Privilege to coach along side some the countries greatest athletes now and present! throw an Olympian or 2 in the mix and that’s the standard of coaches. Turn out been fantastic! Weather fantastic! Venue fantastic! All fun fun fun! Got to see the Olympic torch relay again for 2nd time Rodger Hughes has outdone himself! "
David Cole – Performance Running Coach
"I just wanted to tell you how much Amelia enjoyed the performance running athletics summer camp. Amelia learnt so much, made new friends, and came home a confident and happy young person. Amelia gained so much more by staying residential for the week and found the evening entertainment and food enjoyable. Amelia will definitely come again next year and will continue her interest in athletics. Thank you for making her week exciting and fun."

"We attended the Camp and wish to thank you the coaches and staff for an amazing week of athletics. The experience helped my nephew to gain back his confidence, which he had lost a year ago, he has learned to hurdle, meet new friends and be taught by Coaches who are amazing, I also have learned new things which I will be using to help him progress. Warm and friendly always on hand and very helpful you all were, thank you so much and we shall see you again. "

Just wanted to say a big massive thank you to everyone involved with the Athletics Camp, you guys are fantastic. My boy loved every minute, and hasn’t stopped smiling and talking about his time with you. Friday night he told me to book his place for next year, Saturday morning he reminded me what I needed to do and Sunday??? So far he hasn’t woke up 14th hour of sleep!!! There must have been some seriously intense training sessions.
It’s so easy to criticize but very few take the opportunity to say the most important word “thank you”. Time to applaud you and every one of your team at what you have/are achieving, immensely impressive in so many ways. Furthermore looking if from the side line you can see and feel the passion you install in all the children, fantastic.
Now Performance AC have left me with a problem, as I expressed at the beginning Ja loved every minute, love being the key word here. After some questioning from myself and Dereece on the way home it seem some pretty little girl grew quite fond of him, more than what he realised. Bigger fool Ja and being slow on the girl front he didn’t get the basics, her name or number. “Fool”
So our idea is we get hold of the DVD Ja, Dereece and myself view to investigate who she is, gain a name and a point of contact and he doesn’t have to wait a year before he talks to her again. How do I purchase a DVD?
Sports fun and romance…Lol
Roger it’s very important to me that you share my thanks and gratitude to every member of your team, they need to know how fantastic they are.
WELL DONE TEAM PERFORMANCE A C….

Thank you so much for the opportunity this camp as given James(12) and Lucy(8). Neither of them new anyone on the camp but because of the coaches they soon found friends. My son lacks self-esteem and by the end of the week he now believes he can do anything he wants too. Lucy had a go at shot put, Javelin long jump and much more. All these things she would not have done till secondary school, and loved it. I was lucky enough to stay and watch for the week. To see my two grow like they did was out of this world. To see the children smile from ear to ear, growing with pride was won of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Please can you say a massive thank you to all the coaches and helpers, and if there is anything I can do to help by finding sponsors of funding please let me know. More children need to have this opportunity. Thank you so so much.

Just wanted to say again thank you so much. James and Lucy are so happy and so confident. I have been in tears (happy) to see the difference in them. As for Joseph wow. There are no words to describe what you have done. Life changing. Rodger I meant what I said I wont to help. Please if there is anything I can do to help let me know. I need to know your dream so I can help. I have spoken to Herbalife and they are interested but need more information about you the coaches and the dream. When things are a little calmer if that ever happens for you!! get in touch. Do not go into any more schools until I have spoken to you . Please.............
Thank you again for changing children's life's and mine.

Many thanks on another excellent Course.
Clocked Thomas at approx 5 42 in the Mile - never done one before. Shame it won't count to go onto the Power of 10?
Feedback from the athletes I know well has been excellent - including Thomas, Louisa, Ellysha & Lilyarna, Cyrus, Elliott & Harrison, Anya, Daniel Roth.... Really happy as it was Thomas that helped to get Anya, Cyrus and Daniel to attend.
Hopefully we can catch-up soon.
Thomas (and Louisa) would love to act as a deputy if any of the kids attending the Olympics have to drop out!
Have a great weekend, Olympics.....

Many many thanks for last week. I enjoyed every aspect of the camp and hope that all I have learned will turn me into a better athlete. Can’t think of one single thing I would change to make the week better! The organisation, the speakers, the torch relay, the great coaches, the accommodation and entertainment, the other athletes and even the weather were second to none. My legs are still recovering so great excuse to do very little and just watch the Olympics all day!
I’d also like to say a big thanks for the trainers but could I be cheeky and find out where you got them from and maybe approach them to swop for a larger size. I did try them on briefly on Friday but as my feet were rather blistered, I didn’t give them a proper go. They are still as new in the box.
Let me know if you ever do a course at some other time apart from Summer and I will do my best to be there.
If not, I will see you next year!
Thanks again!

Cyrus and I, his aunty attended the BOOT CAMP for the week and he LOVED IT, I myself found it a great help learning from the Coaches so that I can help Cyrus progress, it’s a shame we were not told about this before but we shall return.
Cyrus attends T.V.A.C slough juniors he hasn’t been in form for a year but we are looking forward to getting back, he has NEVER been taught the hurdles until we attended camp.
Dan was fab just the type of professional he needs, Cyrus is a Sprinter and has lost confidence in himself due to a number of things, being dropped for other up and coming athletes, lack of training, coaching, communication within the club, theirs more but my heads spinning.
He stuck to Dan’s hard training sessions, being one of the youngest he didn’t walk away, when it got HARD AND HOT, I could feel him enjoying every minute and his hunger learn.
I’m not sure if you realize how much we both have learned and how much now Cyrus feels he can come back, this your camp was my last hope of getting advice and help, we have been very confused and lost as to weather we should just stop and move off into something else as it has not been easy getting answers from the club or coaches
Would it be possible for you to add us on to your mailing list so that we don’t miss out on what’s happening when and where.
I didn’t get to chat to you as you were very busy, but I did get to learn a lot from your coaches , I would also like to know if you could recommend a coach or yourself on helping Cyrus to progress on a one to one bases or to join up with anything you are running after school in the holidays etc.
I don’t wish for Cyrus to leave the club, born and bred in Slough and to represent them is a honour, one that myself and my brothers did many years ago, so I’m hoping you could a little if possible direct us into the right direction, I appreciate your feedback, thank you again.

Thank you so much for helping the 'Performance Running' camp happen. Some friends of mine told me about it and I am so glad they did! This year
was my third time on the camp as I did the Christmas one aswell. Each time it gets better and better! The coaching is absolutely amazing!
Each time I ran after being coached there I got a new PB.
In 2011 I won a ticket to the Olympics 2012 which you kindly donated. It was an amazing experience. We saw Jessica Ennis on her first morning of the heptathlon, Christine Ohuragu, Dai Green and so many other brilliant athletes! I would like to thank Danny Hodge for coaching me and nominating me for the Olympic ticket, Rodger for holding a brilliant camp for a variety of ages with the best coaching but also to thank you, British Airways for helping everything to happen, supplying our lunch and for giving some people a chance to go to the Olympics.
Thank you!

Sorry for the late email, but babysitting Arwen at the weekend is pretty much a full on taxi service!
Anyway just to say thanks for your coaching at the weekend, it was really inspirational for her (except the 800 at the start which was a bit of a shock for her LOL), and to get to hold the torch blew her away, (PLEASE don't leave it in your boot!!)
Anyway I think you may have done too good a job as (good news) she now wants to become a "proper athlete" and not (bad news) a gymnast, so I guess thats 7 years training down the drain...... Obviously though we want her to keep up her gym at the moment, but can see a time when we will start to crossover, increase athletic hours and decrease the gym, as we don't ever want her to lose her love of sport (or her fitness), and like I said if she does show a talent in anything track and field then we will always ensure she has complete support, we've just got to find that talent first!).
Seriously though Rodger, many thanks, it takes a LOT to pique her interest in anything but gym, and you've certainly done that, and surprisingly when I told Chow (her mum) she was really pleased as well!
See you next Saturday (only 9,999 hours to go)
